International Workshop of OEDO

Dear colleagues,

 

We would like to announce the 1st  international OEDO workshop will be held at RIBF on June 11th as a satellite meeting of DREB2018.

The OEDO, an energy-degraded and spatial squeezing device, has been implemented in the High Resolution Beam line at RIBF in March 2017.

The RI beams of around 20 MeV/nucleon with the typical beam spot of 3 cm (FWHM) are now available. The OEDO allows us to carry out the experiments with RI beams by employing the traditional nuclear physics techniques.

After two successful experiments in 2017, the OEDO is now open for any users.  The meeting aims to discuss the future physics opportunities with energy-degraded RI beams provided by OEDO. The details of the workshop will be uploaded at

At the workshop, after the detailed report of the commissioning and two experiments,  the presentations on the future experiments at OEDO will be followed.

Proponents intending to submit an experimental proposal using OEDO to the next 19th RIBF Nuclear Physics Program Advisory Committee, are encouraged to attend the workshop.
