DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Kenta Hotokezaka (University of Tokyo)\n\n\nScope of
the workshop\nThe workshop will focus on compact object binaries ranging
from stellar mass objects to supermassive black holes. The workshop aims
to discuss our current understanding of gravitational-wave sources based
on the previous gravitational-wave and electromagnetic observations and wh
at we will be able to learn from future observations. Topics to be consi
dered at the workshop include:\n\nDynamical channel of binary black hole f
ormation\nBinary stellar evolution/population\nBinary black holes in AGNs
 \nIntermediate - supermassive binary black hoes\nElectromagnetic signature
s of compact binaries\nGravitational-wave data analysis\n\nThe workshop is
hosted by the Research Center for the Early Universe at University of Tok
yo.\nParticipation and Program\nAll participants are requested to register
by filling out the "Registration" form via the menu on the left of this p
age. Participants interested in contributing with a talk must also submit
an abstract by filling out the "Title of talk" and "Abstract"\,  in the r
egistration form. The workshop can accept a limited number  of participan
ts due to the capacity of the room.  In order to receive full considerat
ion\, all information must be received by DATE\, 2026. \nWe plan to focus
on invited and contribution talks in the first week. In the second week\,
we will have a  small number of  talks and  a large fraction of time
will be devoted to open discussion. \nVenue\nThe workshop will take plac
e at Science building No. 1 in the Hongo campus of University of Tokyo( A
ccess map to the Hongo Campus from the airports and a link to the Google
map).  \nRegistration fee\nWe will be collecting the registration and d
inner fees at the workshop venue in cash. Please kindly bring some Japanes
e yen with you. The registration fee is 5000 JPY (~33 USD\, 30 EUR).  The
cost of workshop dinner is  7\,000 JPY.\nWorkshop Dinners\nTo be determi
ned.\n \nAccommodation\nWe recommend any business hotel in the Hongo or U
eno area. For example\, APA Hotel Keisei Ueno-Ekimae is a business hotel a
t a walkable distance from UTokyo\, just across the Ueno park. Other APA h
otels are also nearby (Ueno Eki Minami\, Ueno Ekimae\, Shin Okachimachi Ek
imae). There are many other hotels in the Ueno area.\nIf you want to stay
farther away from the university\, commuting by metro is also an easy opti
on. The Hongo campus is well connected to the Marunouchi and Oedo lines (H
ongo Sanchome station)\, the Namboku line (Todaimae st.) and the Chiyoda l
ine (Nezu st.).\nFor using local transportation\, we recommend buying a re
chargeable Pasmo (or Suica) card at the airport.\nInvited Speakers\n\n \n
